What is the function of the magnetic sensor on the cylinder?

Function: The magnetic sensor on the cylinder is mainly used to detect the position of the piston in the cylinder. The user can install it directly in the cylinder for use. As a detection device, the sensor is the primary link in realizing automatic control and automatic detection. It can meet various user requirements for equipment information transmission, processing, storage, recording, display and control.

In recent years, magnetic sensors on cylinders have become increasingly miniaturized and intelligent. Digital, multi-functional and systematic characteristics. The cylinder is the cavity in the internal combustion engine block where the piston is placed. It is the track on which the piston moves, in which the gas burns and expands. It can also dissipate part of the explosion waste heat transmitted by the gas through the cylinder wall, so that the engine can maintain a normal operating temperature.

The magnetic sensors on the cylinder are mostly magnetic sensors (Hall switches), that is, the Hall switch outside the cylinder is fixed (but the position of the Hall switch can be adjusted), and the piston inside the cylinder is equipped with a magnetic ring (moves with the piston). When the magnetic ring on the piston moves to the Hall switch position, the Hall switch has a signal output and sends an in-position signal.

1. A magnetic switch or other switching sensor can be installed on the cylinder. Its function is to sense the working status of the cylinder, so that the control circuit can take the next action after receiving the signal from the induction switch.

2. For example: when the sensor switch is connected to the input end of the TPC8-8TD timing program controller, it can be used as position-related action control such as in-position stop, in-position start, in-position alarm, and under-in-position alarm.

3. The control function of the cylinder is realized by the induction switch and the controller. The specific functions can be set through the function setting table to set the required control functions. This combination can realize the functions of various control devices.

Applications of Sensors The application fields of sensors include machinery manufacturing, industrial process control, automotive electronics, communication electronics, consumer electronics and special equipment.

1. Special equipment
Special equipment mainly includes professional electronic equipment used in medical, environmental protection, meteorological and other fields. The current medical field is an emerging market with huge sensor sales and considerable profits. This field requires the development of sensing devices in the direction of miniaturization, low cost and high reliability.

2. Industrial automation
Sensors used in industrial fields, such as process control, industrial machinery and traditional ones;various measuring process variables (such as temperature, liquid level, pressure, flow, etc.);measuring electronic characteristics (current, voltage, etc.) and physical quantities (motion, speed, load, and strength), as well as traditional proximity/location sensors are developing rapidly.

3. Communication electronic products
The substantial growth in mobile phone production and the continuous increase in new mobile phone functions have brought opportunities and challenges to the sensor market. The rising market share of color screen mobile phones and camera mobile phones has increased the application proportion of sensors in this field. In addition, ultrasonic sensors used in group phones and cordless phones, and magnetic field sensors used in magnetic storage media will all see strong growth.

4. Automobile industry
The key to the level of electronic control systems in modern luxury cars lies in the number and level of pressure sensors used. Currently, an ordinary family car is equipped with dozens to nearly a hundred sensors, while the number of sensors on a luxury car can be much higher. There are more than 200 individuals, usually more than 30 species, and as many as 100 species.
