The role of the balance cylinder, how to adjust the pressure of the balance cylinder

The function of balancing cylinder

The direct function of the balancer is to balance the weight of the slider components (including hydraulic overload protection, mold clamper), upper mold, etc. Indirect effects include:
* Prevent possible accidents caused by brake failure caused by the slider sliding due to its own weight, and ensure the safety of the press. The slider stops at a certain position. If the brake gap is slightly larger and the braking force is slightly smaller (during the operation of the press, the brake disc or friction block wears out, which is normal loss. When the gap reaches a certain value, it is necessary to Replace the brake disc or friction block). If there is no balance cylinder, or the air pressure of the balance cylinder is adjusted too small, even if the slider stops, it is very easy to cause an accident caused by the slider sliding down due to its own weight.
* It can eliminate the gaps in the connecting rod system, adjusting screw and other stress-bearing parts, avoid the additional impact force caused by the gap reversal during the up and down stroke of the slider, and ensure the smooth movement of the slider and the stable accuracy of the press.
* Helps in the rapid recovery of flywheel energy. With the balancer, the force that makes the slider move up and down is basically equal and the load is the same. There will be no situation where the slider moves downward easily and moves upward very laboriously. Then the movement will be very smooth and all kinds of impacts will be reduced. At the same time, when the slider moves upward, it does not need to consume a lot of power.
* It can reduce the load on the bolts connecting the slider and the connecting rod, which not only extends the service life of the bolts, but also increases safety and reliability.
Of course, if the air pressure of the balancing cylinder is not adjusted, it means there is no balancer, which will definitely bring many negative effects, such as:
1. When the air pressure is too low:

A. The slider movement is not smooth.

B. Since the clearance between the eccentric sleeve, the connecting part of the connecting rod and the threaded part of the adjusting screw is in the opposite state when there is no load, the movement cannot be transmitted correctly, and an impact will occur when the upper and lower dead centers change.

C. If the brake fails, the slider will fall. Especially when a reverse fall occurs, it is very dangerous and special attention should be paid.

D. Increase the braking energy when the slider stops and accelerate the wear of the brake friction plate (friction block).

E. The slider adjusts the motor load to increase.

F. Due to the increase in transmission load, the main transmission noise increases.

2. When the air pressure is too high:

A. Overtravel may occur when stopping at the top dead center, causing equipment failure.

B. When the height of the slider is adjusted, the load on the slider motor increases.

C. Due to the increase in transmission load, the main transmission noise increases.

The weight of the molds of different tonnages changes the weight of the entire slider mechanism, so the pressure must be adjusted when changing molds. Otherwise, the press fine-tuning motor, mold height adjustment motor, and main motor may be overloaded in the up or down stroke. , damage the motor, and seriously damage the connecting rod of the press. In addition, balancing cylinder pressure also has a great impact on the accuracy of the press. If the pressure is not adjusted properly, it will lead to the production of defective products.
Since the weight of the molds varies, the air pressure of the balancer must be adjusted before starting the main motor after changing the mold.

How to adjust pressure in balanced cylinder

1. How much should the air pressure of the balance cylinder be adjusted to be considered normal?
From the difference in mold weight just introduced that will affect the adjustment of air pressure, we know that the air pressure depends on the size of the mold. The ideal air pressure value can be measured by inching the stroke when the slider stops at the middle position of the stroke. , when operating, the best state is for the slider to float or float slightly. At the same time, listen to whether the clutch and brake sounds on the beam are normal.
Whether the balance cylinder air pressure adjustment is correct can be determined according to the following methods and steps:

a. Open the slider to the middle position of the stroke and turn off the main motor;

b. Use the "inching" stroke specification to disengage the brake. At this time, observe the movement of the slider. If the slider drops, it means that the air pressure of the balance cylinder is low. If the slider remains stationary or rises very slowly, it means that the air pressure is adjusted correctly. If the slider rises quickly, it means that the air pressure is high and must be reduced;

c. You can also start the slider mold height adjustment motor to make the slider rise or fall, and measure the motor current. If the motor current is basically the same when rising and falling, it also means that the balancer air pressure is adjusted correctly;

d. Use the manual valve to adjust according to the test results or set new values through the touch screen;
