How to choose cylinder accessories? Cylinder accessories selection method

In the selection of pneumatic components, the cylinder is a key point, but the selection of matching accessories is not unscrupulous, such as solenoid valves, throttle valves, floating joints, etc., which are seemingly insignificant but affect performance. the elements of.

(1) Cylinder accessories selection table If there is any fool-proof selection method for cylinder accessories, the cylinder accessories selection table is one, see Table 2-6. As long as the problem of selecting the actuator (cylinder) is solved, the rest can basically be matched according to the table. For example, if the CQ2-20-10 cylinder has been selected, it is easy to select other accessories, such as solenoid valve SY3000 (or SY5000) series, speed control valve (elbow type) AS2201F-M5-06, floating joint JB20- 5-030, pipe outer diameter Φ6mm, etc.

(2) Selection of control valves (solenoid valves) Control valves are like circuit switches (to switch current on and off). They play the role of switching the "on" and "off" states of the compressed air in the cylinder. They are most commonly used in automation equipment. The most important one is the solenoid valve (key point), and sometimes mechanical valves are also used, as shown in Figure 2-29.

Taking the solenoid valve as an example, the selection process is shown in Figure 2.30. However, the actual operation is relatively modular. For example, the commonly used cylinder (bore diameter) has not changed much, so there is basically no need to repeat the selection of the solenoid valve every time.

1) Solenoid valve model. The model and actual object of the solenoid valve are shown in Figure 2.31.
2) Solenoid valve series. The solenoid valve is mainly selected based on the gas flow required for cylinder operation (that is, on the one hand, the effective area of the valve must match the working cylinder;on the other hand, it must match the working speed of the cylinder). For example, the cylinder working speed exceeds 300~500mm/s. When selecting the solenoid valve, please refer to Figure 2-32. The cylinders used in electronic industry equipment are usually not large, so the SY series is more commonly used. If large power is required, such as a cylinder with a cylinder diameter of Φ125mm, other series (such as the VQ series) can be used.
3) Control function. Commonly used two-position five-way solenoid valves include single coil and double coil, with different control functions. Most use double coils to prevent malfunctions or safety accidents when the equipment is powered off, see Table 2-7.

Whichever side is powered, it will return to the position of the power supply side. When no power is supplied, it will maintain the position before the power was cut off.

4) Electrical specifications For solenoid valves on automation equipment, DC24V is mostly used, and AC110V is also used. In other cases, it is less used, see Table 2-8.
