Three-position five-way solenoid valve
As the name suggests, the three-position five-position machine has three working positions and five openings.
Three positions means that the valve core of the solenoid valve has three positions. Three-position solenoid valves have two coils. Let's call them A and B coils for now. When AB is not energized, the spool is in one position. When A is energized, the spool will move, which is the second position. When A is powered off, the spool position is the third position when B is energized. So there are three positions in total. Please note that there are three types of three-position five-way solenoid valves, which means that when both AB and AB are not energized, the status of the valve core is divided into center-sealed, center-open and center-closed. You can see the picture below, which is a three-position five-way valve with a centrally closed type.
The bottom bracket refers to five ports, one air inlet, two cylinder ports, and two exhaust ports (these two can also be combined into one).
Supplement: How to stop the action is very simple, that is, all power is cut off on both sides of the solenoid valve, and the valve core is in the middle position. If it is closed in the middle (that is, the air intake channels at both ends of the cylinder are blocked), then the exhaust at both ends of the cylinder will not be possible. The cylinder stops in the middle and cannot move. However, due to the cylinder and solenoid valve leakage, usually it cannot stop at the correct position for a long time.
