Where does the cylinder bore refer to
The bore diameter of the cylinder refers to the inner diameter. This calculation problem requires knowing where you need to use the cylinder and how much force it needs to output.
How to choose cylinder bore
1. According to the type of cylinder
Choose the type of cylinder according to the work requirements and conditions. Heat-resistant cylinders must be used in high-temperature environments. In corrosive environments, corrosion-resistant cylinders must be selected. In harsh environments such as dust, a dust cover needs to be installed on the extended end of the piston rod. When no pollution is required, it is necessary to choose a cylinder without oil supply or oil-free lubrication.
2. According to the size of the force
The thrust and pulling force output by the cylinder are determined according to the load force. Generally, the cylinder force required under the theoretical balance condition of uniform external load is multiplied by a coefficient of 1.5~2.0, so that the cylinder output force has a slight margin. If the cylinder diameter is too small, the output force is insufficient, but if the cylinder diameter is too large, the equipment will be bulky, cost will increase, air consumption will increase, and energy will be wasted. When designing the clamp, a force expansion mechanism should be used as much as possible to reduce the overall size of the cylinder.
3. According to the stroke of the piston
It depends on the occasion of use and the stroke of the mechanism, but generally the full stroke is not selected to prevent the piston and cylinder head from colliding. If it is used in a clamping mechanism, etc., a margin of 10~20mm should be added based on the calculated stroke. The standard stroke should be chosen as much as possible to ensure delivery speed and reduce costs.
4. According to the movement speed of the piston
Mainly depends on the input compressed air flow rate of the cylinder, the size of the cylinder inlet and exhaust port and the inner diameter of the duct. High-speed movement is required and a large value should be taken. The cylinder movement speed is generally 50~1000mm/s. For high-speed moving cylinders, an air intake pipe with a large internal diameter should be selected. For load changes, in order to obtain a slow and steady operating speed, a cylinder with a throttling device or a gas-liquid damping cylinder can be used, which makes it easier to achieve speed control. .
Choose throttle valve controlCylinderAttention should be paid to the speed: when the horizontally installed cylinder pushes the load, it is recommended to use exhaust throttle speed regulation;when the vertically installed cylinder lifts the load , it is recommended to use air intake throttle speed regulation;when the stroke movement is required to be smooth and avoid impact, a cylinder with a buffer device should be selected.
