1. There must be air intake and exhaust devices so that gas can enter and be discharged from the cylinder;
2. There must be a cooling device to continuously dissipate the heat generated when the gas is compressed;
3. There must be a lubrication device to lubricate the piston ring and cylinder wall;
4. There must be a sealing device to prevent compressed gas from leaking from the inside;
5. The cylinder itself must have a certain thickness.
Air compressor cylinder assembly methods and installation techniques
Generally, cylinders with lower pressure are made of cast iron. The high-pressure cylinder is made of cast steel and has a replaceable bushing.
When installing the cylinder, the main thing is to ensure the durability of the cylinder and piston operation. In other words, make the center line of the cylinder completely coincide with the center line of the machine base and form a straight line perpendicular to the main axis.
The installation method of air compressor cylinder is as follows: remove the anti-corrosion layer on the flange surface of the machine base and the connecting end surface of the cylinder, and wipe them clean. Prepare a complete set of connecting bolts and nuts.
Hang two chain hoists with a lifting capacity of 1 ton each on the crane hook with a maximum lifting capacity of 5 tons, so that the water in the cylinder can be adjusted on the inside of the valve covers at both ends of the cylinder during the connection process. A lifting rope and put the lifting rope on the lifting hook of the chain hoist to lift the cylinder.
Then remove the steel wire from the cable frame, but do not move the position of the cable frame. Slowly lift the lifted filter to the flange surface at the front end of the machine base, and align the connecting bolts on the cylinder with the corresponding screw holes on the flange;if there is a slight error in the position, you can use a chain hoist to adjust it. .
After the position is aligned, insert the connecting bolts into the holes of the flange, take the connecting nuts from the machine base, and tighten them preliminarily. When tightening the nuts, each nut must be tightened with the same force. The lifting equipment can now be removed.
Re-set up a steel wire on the small wheel of the cable frame leading to the cylinder and the machine base, and calibrate it according to the machine base so that they are at the center line of the machine base. Then calibrate the cylinder according to this line so that the center line of the cylinder coincides with this line.
When correcting the position of the cylinder measurement wire, it can be done on the I-I section of the front end of the cylinder and the II-II section of the stuffing box casing.
If possible, the measurement can also be carried out on the rear section of the gas storage tank. The measuring point should be 20-30 mm away from the edges of both ends of the cylinder.
When measuring, be sure to calculate the error in wire wire deflection. If the centerline of the cylinder is not correct, you can adjust the tightness of the connecting bolt cap of the machine base, add a thin pad between the flange surface and the connecting end face of the cylinder, or file the opening where the machine base contacts the cylinder.
The allowable error of the center of the cylinder must be within 0.10 mm/m. While measuring the precision steel wire, use a spirit level to check the levelness of the cylinder on the lower arc mirror surface inside the cylinder. The allowable deviation of the cylinder's level is within 0.10 mm/m. The installation method of high-pressure cylinder is the same as that of low-pressure cylinder.
