The basic structure and action principle of the solenoid valve:\nThe solenoid valve is not energized
\nSolenoid valve energization status
Directional control valve (according to control mode):
1. Electromagnetic control: Electromagnetic control valves are easy to realize electrical joint control and long-distance operation, and are widely used. Direct-acting solenoid valves generally have smaller diameters or adopt a gap-sealed structure. They are often used for small flow control and large diameter ones. Solenoid valves all adopt pilot-operated structure.
2. Air pressure control: In harsh environments such as flammable, explosive, dusty, strong magnetic fields, high temperatures, using air pressure control is safer and more reliable than electromagnetic control.
3. Human control: The frequency of use of human control valve is low and the action speed is slow. The state of the control object can be changed at any time according to human will, and it is widely used in manual, semi-automatic and automatic control.
4. Mechanical control: The mechanical control reversing valve is mainly used as a trigger signal in the system to output a control air pressure signal to achieve automatic control.
Things to note when choosing a directional valve:
1. About mid-stop
When a three-position center-sealed or medium-pressure directional valve is used to stop the cylinder piston in the middle, it is difficult to achieve a correct and precise position stop because the air is compressible. In addition, the valve and cylinder cannot be guaranteed to be leak-free, so they cannot remain in the intermediate stop position for a long time. If you want to stay stopped for a long time, you should use other methods.
2. Regarding the influence of back pressure during valve assembly
When the valve manifold is used, attention should be paid to the malfunction of the actuator caused by back pressure, especially when using a three-position center relief directional valve and driving a single-acting cylinder. If there is concern about such malfunction, separate air intake and exhaust must be provided. \n3. Regarding residual pressure release, considering the need for maintenance and inspection, the function of residual pressure release should be set up. Especially when using a three-position center-sealed air valve, it must be considered that the residual pressure between the reversing valve and the cylinder can be released.
4. Regarding the instantaneous energization and ventilation of double control valves, conventional double electric (gas) control valves have a memory function (except three-position valves, which have no memory function). In the case of instantaneous energization, the energization time should be more than 0.1s. to ensure the valve has reversed direction.
5. Regarding the use of air supply pressure, the minimum operating pressure requirements for internal pilot-operated valves need to be considered. Direct-acting or external pilot-operated valves are not restricted by the minimum operating pressure.
6. If the solenoid valve is installed in a control cabinet and is powered on for a long time, pay attention to the ventilation and heat dissipation of the control cabinet.
Solenoid valve wiring connection:
1) Regarding polarity: Because the DC specification solenoid valve has a polarity indicator light, pay attention to the positive and negative poles when wiring. If the connection is reversed, the indicator light will not light up and the valve can still operate.
2) Applied voltage: Before connecting the solenoid valve to power, carefully check the voltage parameters on the coil to avoid malfunction of the valve or burnt coil.
Solenoid valve installation
Although the solenoid valve can be installed in any direction, the vibration of the device or the flow of condensed water, oil and other liquids to the coil part of the solenoid valve will cause the solenoid valve to be defective, so you need to pay attention when installing it.
1. Vibration countermeasures: When installing, the vibration direction can be at right angles to the action direction (axial direction) of the solenoid valve's slide column.
2. In order to prevent condensed water, oil, etc. from flowing into the coil of the solenoid valve, it is best to install the coil upward or horizontally. Installation legend: \n3. The inlet of the internal pilot solenoid valve must not be throttled to prevent malfunction due to excessive pressure drop during reversal.
4. Install the reversing valve as close to the cylinder as possible: first, to reduce air consumption, and second, to respond quickly.
5. Please insert the pipe firmly to the end, and make sure that the pipe cannot be pulled out before use.
Solenoid valve usage environment:
1. Dry compressed air that does not produce water droplets should be used inside the piping.
2. Do not use it in environments with corrosive gases, chemicals, sea water, water, water vapor or places with the above substances.
3. The solenoid valve must not be used in places with explosive gases, and attention must be paid to explosion prevention.
4. In places with heat sources around, radiant heat should be blocked.
5. Do not use it in an environment with strong magnetic field. It may cause inoperability or malfunction.
6. The double-coil solenoid valve cannot be energized at both ends at the same time, so it is recommended to add an interlock circuit when designing the electrical circuit.
